SEO web copywriting. For the pages you wrote in a hurry three years ago.
Almost every website has them. The service page written the week before launch because something had to go there. The homepage nobody has touched since the rebrand. They are the pages your customers judge you on and the pages Google is quietly ignoring, and they are usually the cheapest thing on your whole site to fix.
Website copy is a different job to blog content
Blog posts bring people in who are still working out what they need. Website pages have to convert the ones who already know. Same writer, completely different brief, and the pages that carry the money are usually the ones getting the least attention.
Service and product pages
The pages people land on when they are ready to buy something specific. These have to rank for a commercial search and answer the objection that stops the sale, in the same breath. Most are written from the inside out, describing what the business does rather than what the reader is worried about. That single flip is often worth more than the ranking.
Category and location pages
The pages that quietly carry an enormous share of commercial search traffic and are almost always thin, because nobody enjoys writing forty of them. Done properly they are a genuine competitive advantage, because your competitors did not bother either. Done as spun templates they are worse than nothing, so we do not do that.
Your homepage, honestly assessed
Homepages are the hardest page on any site to write, because everyone internally has an opinion and the result is usually a compromise that says nothing to anybody. It rarely needs to rank for much. It needs to make a stranger understand what you do and why you specifically, inside about eight seconds.
Rewriting beats writing more, more often than you would think
If you have pages sitting on page two, the fastest return usually comes from fixing those rather than adding new ones. A page already ranking at position 12 has proven Google will consider it. Getting it to position 4 is frequently a rewrite, not a new page and another six months.
Tell us the pages you are unsure about and we will tell you which is which.
There is no charge for the answer and no obligation attached to it. If the honest answer is that your existing copy is fine and the problem is elsewhere, that is what you will get told. We would rather say that than sell you a rewrite you did not need and lose the next three jobs.
Ask about your pagesReady to order instead? Web copy is written from the same word-count sprints as everything else. See packages and prices.
Most SEO web copywriting is one person with a waiting list
Good freelancers are good, and they are one person
We are genuinely not knocking them. Plenty of excellent Australian copywriters do this work well. The practical issue is capacity and continuity: one person means a queue, and a holiday or a busy month means your project waits. If you need eleven pages rewritten before a campaign launches, a team is simply a better fit for that shape of job.
The SEO is not subcontracted or guessed
Matter Solutions has been an SEO business since April 2000. The keyword research, the internal linking plan and the technical recommendations come from the same team writing the words, which means the copy is built around the ranking strategy instead of having it applied afterwards by somebody else.
You see the price before you talk to anyone
Web copywriting is usually quoted per project after a discovery call, which makes it impossible to compare and easy to inflate. Ours comes out of the same fixed-price sprints as everything else. Pick a word count, see the number, order it. No proposal document, no scoping call to get a figure.
Order a sprint, or ask which pages to fix first
If you already know which pages need work, order and we will get going. If you are not sure where the money is, ask us and we will look before you spend anything.
What people ask about website copywriting
In practice, none worth arguing about. Both describe writing website copy that has to rank in search as well as persuade a reader. Some people use "web copywriting" for the pages and "SEO content" for the blog. We do both, and the same principle applies to each: decide what search the page should win before writing, then write for the human who arrives.
It comes out of the same fixed-price sprints as our other work: from $1,200 AUD excluding GST for 5,000 words, $2,200 for 10,000, and $4,000 for 20,000. As a rough guide, a substantial service page runs 800 to 1,500 words, so a 5,000-word sprint typically covers three to five pages. Full detail on the packages page.
Yes, and it is often the better investment. A page already sitting at position 11 or 12 has proven Google will consider it, and moving it onto page one is usually a rewrite rather than a new page and another six months of waiting. Send us the URLs and we will tell you which of your pages are worth rewriting first.
That is the entire job. Send existing pages you are happy with, or tell us what to avoid, and the brief captures tone, audience and the specifics only your business knows. Two revision rounds are included on every page precisely so the voice lands properly rather than approximately.
By default, yes, and it is written by Australian writers. If your audience is in the UK or the US we will write in the variant they expect. This sounds like a small thing until you receive copy full of "optimize" and "z" spellings that you then have to fix yourself.
The copy comes with metadata, heading structure and internal linking recommendations as standard. If the underlying site has technical problems holding it back, that is a separate job and we will tell you plainly rather than let you spend on copy that cannot rank. Matter Solutions offers a technical SEO and site audit if you need one.
As many as you need. We are a team rather than a single writer, so a set of eleven pages before a campaign launch is a normal job rather than a scheduling problem. Larger sets are quoted from the same word-count pricing, so the number stays predictable.
